Pulchri Studio presented two interconnected exhibitions curated and developed by artist and researcher Gabriela Acha, unfolding as a shared meditation on memory, conservation, and the enduring legacy of women artists in The Hague.
Opening on Saturday 7 February 2026, The Infinite Map of What We Remember brings together eight contemporary women artists whose lives and practices are intertwined with the city: Asuka Nirasawa, Diana Blok, Harriet Morley, Majda Vidaković, Mina Yee, Sarah Damai Hoogman, Valentina Gal, and Yke Prins. Installed in the Mesdag Zaal, the exhibition explores memory not as a static archive, but as a living, embodied force—fragile yet persistent, intimate yet collective.
Through sculpture, installation, photography, drawing, sound, and kinetic works, the artists transform remnants, gestures, rituals, and materials into vessels of remembrance. Textiles become archives, fragments become monuments, and bodies become sites where memory is inscribed and transmitted. Together, the works form an open cartography: a map without borders, shaped by migration, ecology, technology, and lived experience.
Running in parallel, Archive and Constellation presents Gabriela Acha’s ongoing research-based artistic project in the Weissenbruchzaal and Hardenbergzaal. Rooted in eight years of living and working in The Hague, Acha turns her gaze toward the city’s overlooked artistic histories, tracing the lives and contributions of historical women artists who shaped its cultural landscape.
Supported by the Municipality of The Hague and developed in dialogue with Pulchri Studio’s archive, the project honours twelve women artists—from Maria Moninckx to Sientje Mesdag van Houten —whose work, resilience, and labour opened paths for future generations. Through installations, writing, painting, sculpture, kinetic works, and her Mobile Museum, Acha reflects on visibility, migration, gendered techniques, and the ways in which women’s artistic practices have historically navigated the boundaries between art, craft, and survival.
Rather than presenting history as a closed narrative, Archive and Constellation assembles fragments into living constellations—suggesting that memory is not only something we preserve, but something that continues to shape how we create, belong, and imagine futures.
Together, these two exhibitions propose memory as an active, generative force: material, embodied, ecological, and dialogic. The exhibition was an invitation to move through a shared terrain where past and present resonate, and where women’s artistic voices—historical and contemporary—form an infinite, evolving map.

The Mobile Museum is a nomadic museum created by Gabriela Acha in 2016. A collector of fossils and minerals since childhood, Gabriela imagined a dialogical museum capable of travelling and transforming itself.
Since its creation, the Mobile Museum has been presented in 10 countries and has collaborated with public and private collections, museums and artists.
On this occasion, the Mobile Museum presented four performances at the Jardí Botànic, celebrating the work of women artists and proposing a dialogue between photography, landscape, territory and nature.
Performance 1: Gustavo Giménez, a graduate in Philosophy, interpreted Món Fort by Marta F. Gimeno.
Performance 2: Artist and cultural manager Concha Ros activated Maquia by Uruguayan artist Cecilia Vidal.
Performance 3: Performer and educator Juana Varela Marco presented Cardo by Irene Zottola.
Performance 4: Gabriela Acha.
The works brought together in this project share a sensibility connected to botany, the idea of the garden—both idyllic and real—and the relationship between body, landscape and territory. Through performance, the project invites audiences to develop new ways of reflecting on nature.

NORTH SEA JAZZ ART - ART FAIR
Presentation as part of NORTH SEA JAZZ ART, within the internationally renowned NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL. Gabriela Acha presented her work invited by WTC Art Gallery, a gallery based in The Hague, together with a selection of distinguished contemporary artists.
HOFSTAD MEETS HANZESTAD

Group Exhibition
Presentation of the Mobile Museum as part of *Hofstad meets Hanzestad*, a group exhibition bringing together 30 artists from Pulchri Studio in the remarkable setting of the former Koelwaterhal of the IJsselcentrale.
The exhibition creates a dialogue between contemporary art and the architecture, history and landscape of this former power station. Paintings, sculptures, drawings and installations interact with the monumental industrial spaces and the surrounding landscape of the IJssel.
Curated by artist and curator **Marieta Reijerkerk**, the exhibition offers an encounter between contemporary art and industrial heritage.

Dragon y Rosas Gallery - Córdoba, Argentina

Participation in LO ESPECIAL DE LOS DÍAS, a group exhibition in Córdoba, Argentina, curated by Damián Santa Cruz, bringing together the artists of Expedición, an artistic collective Acha has been part of since 2014.
Over the years, the collective has developed expeditions, research projects, exhibitions, events and a published book, exploring the relationships between visual art and the natural sciences. The project is built around curiosity, the exchange of knowledge, friendship, and the desire to observe and experience nature together.
The exhibition focuses particularly on drawing and objects, exploring the landscape of Córdoba and our relationship with the natural world from different perspectives, ranging from the scientific to the poetic. As Damián Santa Cruz writes, the exhibition celebrates “culture, science and research, but above all, friendship and the shared time that makes the days special.”
